This IMT drill rig suffered structural damage to the mast, requiring an engineered repair. A main lift pin failed, causing the mast to fall backwards, damaging the mast structure. The falling mast also caused damage to the hydraulic system and to some exterior sheet metal. Working with the customer and the insurance company, WHECO was able to restore the IMT drill to pre-accident condition, and return it to revenue-generating service in the most time- and cost-effective manner.
