Chris—glad I could be of some help.

Michael—I wish I could answer your question; however, I'm not entirely sure what the going rate is. Plus, its sort of a moving target, since each insurance company is going to price it differently based on their rating/pricing model, and the specific loss history of the company. I would think that your insurance agent would be able to give you a good ballpark based on the Companies he typically receives quotes from. That might be a good place to start.

G'day Tim. While none of us want to have to recover tipped cranes, it is nice to have Support/Feedback from the Insurance Industry that ultimately saves everyone money and reduces Repair/back to Productivity Time!!! At the end of the day, a machine that is out of action is costing Owner lost production time and potentialy lost customers who need to find other crane companies to supply a replacement unit. Thank you for this very important piece of Information!!!

Several crane hire customers of mine have refurbished and restored some older lattice boom and crawler cranes. In some cases they have also upgraded the cranes. Especially the old Gottwald cranes are really thankful objects for these procedures. They were built very massive and offer much reserve in load capacities. As far as I can judge, this must be a perfect way to increase revenues of the crane. The crane is fully paid and can earn money for several more years after restoration. Even more with an upgrade in load capacity.

P.S.: Nice work you have done so far!

Amazing, I want a crane that can do all these things. Swing, while driving, mow down buildings with the boom, and the flip over was grand.

Great Job.
